030114 KU Literature Circle "Law, Innovation and Society" (2023W)

Presentation & Handout: Each student has to give one presentation on a selected text. The presentation should last 15 minutes and should cover and discuss the main aspects of your text. Additionally, you have to provide a handout for your presentation. The handout should not exceed two pages. It should assist your colleagues in following the presentation. The handout must be uploaded at least 24h prior to your presentation.

Active participation: Engaging in critical discussions on different opinions is a vital skill in academia and especially important in the field of law. Being able to articulate your thoughts and engage with different arguments is therefore highly encouraged in this course. Although it might seem awkward in the beginning, we encourage you to ask at least one question per presentation. This will not only give you the opportunity to better understand the discussed texts, but also gives the presenter the possibility to engage with her audience.

Reflection paper: You have to write one reflection paper (max. 800 words, approx. 2 pages) on one of the texts that will be presented in the course. You can NOT write a reflection paper on the text that you present. For details, see the reflection paper handout.
