Information
Aims, contents and method of the course
Linear programming (simplex method); linear integer programming, cutting planes, Lagrangian relaxation, heuristics, branch-and-bound methods.
Assessment and permitted materials
There will be a written exam in the last lecture on January 29. The preparation and presentation of the exercises, as well as the active participation in the course, will provide bonus points for the exam.
Minimum requirements and assessment criteria
This course intends to serve as a first introduction into the methods of discrete optimization.
