Aims, contents and method of the course

Historical review, Lorentz transformations and relativistic kinematics, Klein-Gordon and Dirac equations, electromagnetic interactions, Lagrangian formalism, gauge theories, the Standard Model of particle physics, new developments in neutrino physics.

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

Phenomenologigal foundations and basic concepts of particle physics.
