Ziele, Inhalte und Methode der Lehrveranstaltung

This course provides a general introduction into international criminal law and procedure. It offers a discussion of the development, the substantive crimes and general principles as well as procedural and institutional aspects with particular focus on the International Criminal Court.

Art der Leistungskontrolle und erlaubte Hilfsmittel

Participation in discussions in class (30 per cent) and final written test taken online at the e-learning platform (70 per cent)

Mindestanforderungen und Beurteilungsmaßstab

Basic understanding and knowledge of criminal law and (public) international law

Prüfungsstoff

Presentation and discussion of select topics on the basis of material provided by the instructor.
