Mindestanforderungen und Beurteilungsmaßstab

To successfully complete the course students must fulfill two criteria (a) and (b):

a) At least 2/3 of total problems have been marked during the course of the semester
b) At least one positive presentation of a (partial) solution

If by the end of the course not every student has had the chance to present a solution, additional slots will be added in February.

A maximum of 40 points can be obtained during the course by working on exercises and presenting a (partial) solution:

1. Marking exercises on moodle (30 points)
2. Presentation of a (partial) solution (10 points)

If the minimum requirements are met, the final grade is calculated as follows depending on obtained points P:

Sehr Gut (1) P ≥35,
Gut (2) 30 ≤ P < 35,
Befriedigend (3) 25 ≤ P < 30,
Genügend (4) 20 ≤ Z < 25,
Nicht Genügend (5) P < 20.

Information

Ziele, Inhalte und Methode der Lehrveranstaltung

Application and practice of the contents of the parallel lecture (040111 KU Introductory Econometrics by Professor Hautsch) through independent preparation of solutions for weekly problem sets. Presentation and discussion of the proposed solutions

The course will be held online and participants will be told before the start of the semester how to join the lectures.

Art der Leistungskontrolle und erlaubte Hilfsmittel

The first lectures (on October 6 and 7) will serve as introduction to the course and explanation of course requirements.

From the second week onward there will be weekly problem sets uploaded on moodle. They will consist of small questions, analytical derivations and/or small data tasks in R. Students have to mark the problems they have been working on and might be asked to present their solutions. Marked exercises will only count towards the final grade if sufficient effort in solving them is evident.

Prüfungsstoff
