Information

Ziele, Inhalte und Methode der Lehrveranstaltung

In this course, the students will be using a software-based business game called "The Fresh Connection”. The objective is to give the participants a real life supply chain experience within a simulated environment. Essential supply chain topics such as sales planning, operations planning, demand management, inventory management, operations management, and supplier management will be elaborated throughout the semester.

After successfully completing the course, the students will be able to:
- apply theoretical SCM knowledge in the context of a game simulation
- enhance coordinated decision making
- understand and illustrate important production planning problems
- translate strategy into action
- understand stochastic influences and the resulting planning uncertainty
- interpret MRP concepts in the context of production planning
- calculate and derive production management KPIs
