Due to the closure of the university related to Covid-19, this course will use online teaching methods. Each lecture will consist of an audio recording over the lecture slides which will be sent to students the day before the scheduled lecture. In addition, during the scheduled lecture times, a online Q&A Session will be organised on the Citrix Webex Meetings platform, which can be downloaded from webex.com. The exams will take place online using the Moodle teaching platform.

Topics covered include: macro-financial linkages, bank capital structure, shadow banks and non-bank financial intermediaries, bank competition and credit market frictions. The course material will be drawn from key journal articles, and consist of both theoretical and empirical studies.
