Have an unforgettable positive experienceFrom 12–17 July 2026, IFORS (ifors2026.at) will take place in Vienna—one of the largest conferences ever hosted at the University of Vienna. Around 3,000 researchers from around the world are expected, bringing the latest findings and cutting-edge techniques in decision support, operations research, management science, and business analytics to Vienna. To ensure the success of IFORS 2026, we are seeking student participants to help with local preparations and support conference attendees. Most student participants will be needed between 8:00 and 18:00 from 13–17 July; some will also be needed for registration and the Welcome Reception on Sunday, 12 July from 15:00–21:00, as well as for the dinner and evening activities from 14–16 July.IFORS 2026 offers students the opportunity to gain practical experience in the organization of academic conferences. The course focuses on areas such as program planning; materials and resources; room organization and support; public relations; organization of the social program; etc. These areas will be implemented independently within a Student Organizing Committee. In addition, the course provides general insights into the nature of academic congresses.Active participation during the conference week enables free access to conference sessions and workshops.
