Ziele, Inhalte und Methode der Lehrveranstaltung

This workshop will explore various historiographical perspectives, theories, and debates related to cultural and transnational history. In particular, we will discuss issues related to spaces, narratives, cultures, materiality, power, agency, and identities.

Art der Leistungskontrolle und erlaubte Hilfsmittel

Students will be assessed based on a book review, a presentation, and their contributions to discussions.

Mindestanforderungen und Beurteilungsmaßstab

Book review (2,000 words, including bibliography and endnotes) – 30% of the final grade
Oral presentation on original research – 40% of the final grade
Active participation in discussions and introduction to readings during a session – 30% of the final grade
Regular attendance (students may miss up to two classes)
