The aim of the seminar is for students to get to know ways of analysing picturebooks, especially as concerns the construction of meaning via images, verbal text and design. We will read and discuss current picturebook theories and multimodal methodologies and apply both to a wide range of contemporary picturebooks for readers of all ages.
