The course is based on the documentary "Song of the Reed" (2014), its Director Wu Hsiu-Ching and her thoughts about how to film the "comfort women" 70 years after their enslavement, and their survival strategies.
"Song of the Reed" will be contrasted with the recent Chinese documentary "22" (and "32" if available)
