The evaluation of the successful completion of this course involves:

To successfully complete the course, all performance components must be delivered on time and passed individually (at least 50% per performance component). The final grade will be determined as follows:
[90%-100%]: Excellent (1)
[75%-89%]: Good (2)
[60%-75%]: Satisfactory (3)
[50%-60%]: Sufficient (4)
[<50%]: Unsatisfactory (5)
Attendance is compulsory; One missed session will be excused if the instructor is informed beforehand with a convincing reason.

After completing the seminar, participants will gain extensive knowledge and insights into essential themes regarding global population growth, fertility, mortality, and migration. In addition, they will learn to critically evaluate and represent scientifically sound views on complex and often controversial issues related to demographic developments.METHODS
This course is highly interactive. Students will participate in a group, reading, critically evaluating, and presenting published academic journals on relevant topics assigned by the course instructor. Therefore, a participant in the seminar will have multiple active roles:
- Presenter. present selected scientific papers set by the course instructor
- Chair discussions and debates
- Participate in a debate or panel discussion
- Prepare reviews based on course readings.
- Be a discussant
