Information
Ziele, Inhalte und Methode der Lehrveranstaltung
The master’s course is for students who are at the end of their studies and are planning or already writing their master's thesis. The course accompanies the conception and development of students’ master’s theses, focusing on the development of research designs. It supports students in developing a research topic and research question(s), in the theoretical and methodological conception of the master thesis, and also offers a space to discuss the structure or chapters of the thesis. The course is based on the presentation and discussion of the students’ (planned) theses.By October 4th (before the first session on October 5th), participants must send a preliminary concept of the master’s thesis via e-mail (cornelia.staritz@univie.ac.at, Subject: Master’s thesis concept). The concept should include a short overview of the research area and objective, the preliminary research question(s) and the planned theoretical and methodological approach. It should be 2-3 pages long.
Art der Leistungskontrolle und erlaubte Hilfsmittel

The first session on October 5th (1-4pm) will take place online. Participants will receive an e-mail through Moodle on details to access the first session. The further procedure will be discussed in detail in the first session. Attendance in the first session is mandatory!
