There will be a final written examination (90 min) on 29.05.22. It will have total score of 67 points. An unexcused absence will result in 0 points. A second exam can be arranged for persons missing the first due to illness or to those interested in improving their grade. This exam can be arranged for a later date only following discussion with C.A. Geiger. It is the student’s responsibility for time conflicts. For the examination only hand calculators are allowed.
A written laboratory report is to be submitted prior to 30.09.22. It will count for 33 points.

The laboratory work will involve TGA and DTA/DSC measurements on various substances (e.g., Ca oxalate, Fe-O/N2/Ar system, SiO2, zeolites). Different thermal behavior (e.g., dehydration and decarbonation, oxidation-reduction, phase transitions, reaction kinetics) will be studied. Measurements can also be made on other substances at the request of students.
