Through this course, participants will (1) understand how the Teleost fish fauna of the Mediterranean Sea changed during the late Cenozoic and how paleoenvironmental changes determined the fish paleobiogeography (2) Learn to use fossil fish otoliths to reconstruct past fish faunas and the paleoenvironment.
