Ziele, Inhalte und Methode der Lehrveranstaltung

Students acquire in-depth knowledge in the core areas of geomorphology and its applications in different process domains. This includes advanced knowledge of the broad field of applied geomorphology as a basis for analyzing the Earth’s surface.

The combination of these topics enables students to grasp the complexity of physical-geographical processes and to analyze, interpret, and evaluate the interactions of near-surface environmental compartments and their effects on selected societal systems.

This lecture is focussing on different process domains, such as arid, costal, landslide and glacial processes as well as different methodological approaches and aims to show how scientific approaches are applied in hands-on cases.
