Information

Ziele, Inhalte und Methode der Lehrveranstaltung

This course will guide students through the processes of finding, reading, and understanding scientific papers in English. Students will practice writing and talking about scientific research in weekly class meetings.
Course activities will include reading scientific papers, understanding the reasoning and logic in a scientific presentation, writing various kinds of scientific reports and other communications, and communicating science to non-scientific audiences.
A student may not get credit for both this course and 300443-1 Scientific Writing: Abstracts and Articles in the same semester.

Art der Leistungskontrolle und erlaubte Hilfsmittel

In-class discussions and group work on reading and writing assignments.

Mindestanforderungen und Beurteilungsmaßstab

Evaluation is based on weekly homework assignments.
