Ziele, Inhalte und Methode der Lehrveranstaltung
In diesem Blockpraktikum werden molekularbiologische und mikrobiologische Grundlagen aus dem Gebiet der Umweltmikrobiologie in praktischer und theoretischer Form vermittelt. Schwerpunkt liegt auf dem Studium von Modellorganismen der Archaea und von thiotrophen bakteriellen Symbionten, sowie der Analyse komplexer mikrobieller Gemeinschaften.

Since the number of participants is restricted to 12, admission to the course might depend on the qualifications of the students (in particular attendance of lectures and seminars in microbiology and genetics or related fields).
