Information
Ziele, Inhalte und Methode der Lehrveranstaltung
Evolutionary analyses using free software packages (mainly, but not only BEAST [Bayesian Evolutionary Analysis by Sampling Trees]) with emphasis on phylogeny reconstruction, molecular dating and phylogeographic analysis.
Art der Leistungskontrolle und erlaubte Hilfsmittel
active participation (100%)
Mindestanforderungen und Beurteilungsmaßstab
Students are acquainted with relevant software packages (e.g., BEAST) and their underlying theoretical background and can apply those to address evolutionary questions (such as phylogeny reconstruction, molecular dating, phylogeographic analyses).
Prüfungsstoff
Presentation (20%) and practical exercise (80%)
