Information
Ziele, Inhalte und Methode der Lehrveranstaltung
The lecture focuses on the controls of biogeochemical cyles, specifically of the carbon, nitrogen and phosphorus cycle in terrestrial and aquatic ecosystems. A range of advanced ecologocal concepts and theories with regard to ecosystem ecology will complement the course.
Art der Leistungskontrolle und erlaubte Hilfsmittel
The exam will be held as a digital written exam with open questions by download of an examination sheet (open-book format).
Mindestanforderungen und Beurteilungsmaßstab
Good knowledge of all aspects and methods of biogeochemistry and ecosystems, which is covered during the lectures. Specifically, successful students must be able to summarize advanced theories and concepts in ecosystem ecology and biogeochemistry and to apply them to selected case studies from terrestrial and
aquatic ecosystems.Written exam with three questions (6 points each) on the entire lecture material. More than half of the attainable points must be achieved in order to successfully complete the exam. All aids allowed (Open Book).
