Assessment will be based on the following:- Participation in class (10%) and in online activities;
- Two tests (25% each);
- Completion of written assignments (40%).Each student will be allowed to use one monolingual dictionary during the tests (no electronic devices).

The objectives of this course are as follows:
- to hone students' writing skills for a wide variety of situations, especially with regard to text conventions;
- to develop students' ability to produce texts which are appropriate to a given situation and assignment.Methods:
Students will achieve the course objectives by:
- analyzing and assessing a variety of texts (individual/group projects);
- writing, adapting/rewriting and optimizing texts for various situations, target groups and media;
- reflecting on and discussing various steps in the text production process.
