The mark for oral presentation will particularly rely on a presentation, and on other prepared contributions.
The written examination (seminar paper) will assess whether the students are able to make the link between the research questions asked in population studies and the methods that are used to answer them.

During the first seminar we will introduce the families of methods and the topics that recurrently use them. Before each following seminar, students will read two texts in which one specific method is used and well described in order to get a sense of its application. The seminar will be participatory, including presentation by the students, the teacher, and discussions.
