Ziele, Inhalte und Methode der Lehrveranstaltung

As a PhD candidate of the CoBeNe doctoral program who will give a talk at the PhD academy, please register here when registration opens in September.

The interdisciplinary CoBeNe PhD Academy connects like-minded, enthusiastic early career researchers, presenting their PhD projects/plans, methods and outcome in the multifaceted field of Psychology, Biology, Cognitive Humanities and Neuroscience. This conference-like format offers parallel sessions for oral presentation, poster session with related master students and time for informal exchange. The PhD academy is strongly recommended for every CoBeNe PhD candidate.

We encourage every PhD candidate to present. You will be able to indicate whether you are presenting a project plan, first results, or an already advanced project. Please also indicate in the moodle registration, if you would like to use the presentation as preparation for your public presentation (FÖP).

Abstract Submission Guidelines:
- No more than 250 words
- Submitting work in progress, preregistrations, etc. is also highly encouraged
- Abstracts must be written for an interdisciplinary audience (i.e., people outside your specific field of research should understand what your talk will be about)
- Abstracts must contain clear information on what is being presented (i.e., preregistration / study plan, work in progress, or a completed study); depending on what is being submitted, abstracts should include information about the theoretical background of the work/research gap, research question, sample, study design, analytic procedures, and results

Further elements of the 5th annual PhD Academy:
- Poster session for Master students
- Parallel sessions of presentations/talks by PhD candidates
- Keynotes by CoBeNe alumni, one for each discipline
- Career panel discussion with alumi keynote speakers
- Stats workshop (registration needed)
- Lab tours to facilitate exchange between disciplines by getting to know each other's work environments
- Closing lecture by Prof. Onur Güntürkün
