Aims, contents and method of the course

Ziele:
Die Lehrveranstaltung versucht in erster Linie, die theologischen Akzente herauszuarbeiten, die die Passionsüberlieferung bei den einzelnen Synoptikern prägen. Ausgangspunkt soll dabei die in Mk 14-16 gebotene Darstellung sein. Da sich in der jeweiligen Passionsgeschichte die theologischen Ideen aus dem vorausgehenden Evangeliencorpus verdichten, wird auch deren Einbettung in den theologischen Gesamtentwurf der einzelnen Evangelisten herauszustellen sein. Die historische oder diachrone Problemstellung wird exemplarisch aufgegriffen.
Methode:
Synoptischer Vergleich und Analyse exemplarischer Texte unter Anwendung der historisch-kritischen sowie linguistisch-literaturwissenschaftlicher Methoden. Grundlage ist eine deutsche Übersetzung, doch wird fallweise auf griechische Begriffe zurückgegriffen.

Assessment and permitted materials

Oral exam of approximately 20 minutes; first possible date of exam is June 26th, 2018 – for further dates see bibelwissenschaft-ktf.univie.ac.at/studium/pruefungen

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

The questions about the topics of the lecture and the mandatory readings have to be answered in a way that shows fundamental understanding of the passion narratives and the individual pericopes and is based on factual knowledge.
