Information

Aims, contents and method of the course

The course “Judaism, Christianity, Islam” offers an introduction to the history, teachings and holy scriptures of the three Abrahamic religions. The developments are embedded in the respective historical, social and political context. The mutual influence of the religions is also discussed.
All materials are made available in Moodle at the beginning of the semester. In addition, a forum is set up in Moodle for each session in which students can subsequently discuss the topic covered or ask questions about it. In Moodle, the Announcements section also regularly provides information on current (online) lectures, events and new publications on the subject area in order to keep track of the current state of research. It is therefore strongly recommended that you use the learning platform regularly.

Assessment and permitted materials

Written exam, one date at the end of the lecture period, one date at the beginning of the lecture-free period, two dates at the end of the lecture-free period. This is a standardized test based on the documents provided in Moodle.

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

Regular participation in the course is essential for contextualisation. The course will also be recorded and will be available to listen to in Moodle until the end of the semester.

Examination topics

Relevant are the documents provided in Moodle as well as the respective lecture units, which will be made available in Moodle for listening until the end of the semester. Physical attendance at the lecture is recommended.
