Information

Aims, contents and method of the course

In its first part, the lecture discusses the history of parable research and current approaches. Essentially, however, it deals with the interpretation of individual parables from the Jesus tradition (Mk, Mt, Lk) based on the Greek text, their historical classification and reception.
The aims are 1) to gain a better familiarity with exegetical methodology and the interpretation of parables, 2) to gain insights into the discourses of research on the Historical Jesus and on parables, 3) to be able to work on the parable texts of the Synoptic tradition.
The lecture will be supported by PowerPoint presentations, which will later be made available on the learning platform.
