The seminar is organized in cooperation with Mag. Alexander Rieder (head of Task Force "Dialogue of Cultures", BMEIA).Language skills:
A good command of spoken and written German and English is an indispensable prerequisite of the seminar, as English presentations have to be analyzed and some texts have to be written in English.

Empirical research and analysis of different forms of interreligious and intercultural dialogue projects in Austria and worldwide. Identification and classification of synergies, best practice models and successful strategies in this field.Contents:
Documentation and analysis of interreligious and intercultural initiatives on different levels. The course is roughly divided into two parts:1) Revision of the inventory of interreligious and intercultural dialogue initiatives in Austria.
Participants will conduct a thorough inventory of all dialogue initiatives in Austria and create an update for the website www.interreligiousdialogue.at already created by the Institute for Systematic Theology and Religious Studies. This will include dialogue initiatives at the national level, church and ecumenical initiatives, as well as interreligious dialogue initiatives at the state, regional and local levels, initiatives of NGOs, at the university level and concrete forms of practical cooperation in practice. The dialogues will also be reviewed with regard to the understanding of interreligious and intercultural dialogue.2) Analysis of this year's "Intercultural Achievement Awards".
In cooperation with Mag. Alexander Rieger, head of the Task Force "Dialogue of Cultures" of the Austrian Federal Ministry for European and International Affairs, the course will evaluate the results of a civil society symposium. Since 2014, outstanding projects in the field of intercultural dialogue are awarded with the "Intercultural Achievement Award". As part of this year's award ceremony, a symposium with the award winners and Austrian civil society and grassroots organizations working in this field will take place to enable them to share experiences, challenges and best practices in their work.Course participants will provide an analysis and summary of the symposium panels, including recommendations for follow-up. They will also make best practice recommendations for next year's symposium.Methods:
a) Analysis of websites, direct contact with initiators of dialogue projects to update the data.
b) Documentation and analysis of a (recorded) symposium and various initiatives in the field of interreligious and intercultural dialogue. Clarification of the relation to theories and conceptions of interreligious and intercultural dialogue.
