Information

Aims, contents and method of the course

The course covers the part "development of private law" of the discipline "Legal and Constitutional History". Due to the CoVID pandemic, it will only be held via the Internet.

Assessment and permitted materials

Several multiple choice tests and a test with open questions will be held. In addition, the students have to elaborate some source exegesis independent.

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

Up to 420 points can be earned in the tests and homework. Anyone who has earned at least 210 points is positive.

Reading list

Students are free to choose which textbook to prepare for the units. Recommended are alternatively:
- Thomas Olechowski, Rechtsgeschichte. Einführung in die historischen Grundlagen des Rechts, 4th/5th edition, Vienna 2016/19, or
- Österreichische Arbeitsgemeinschaft Rechtsgeschichte, Manual "Rechts- und Verfassungsgeschichte", 4th/5th edition, Vienna 2016/18
