Aims, contents and method of the course

Inhalt: Der Kurs geht den Grundlagen europäischer Rechtskultur im philosophischen Denken der Antike und des Mittelalters nach. Der Fokus liegt auf der politischen Philosophie Platons und Aristoteles und deren Rezeption, insbesondere bei Augustinus bzw Thomas von Aquin, aber auch in der Spätscholastik.

Literatur: E.-W. Böckenförde, Geschichte der Rechts- und Staatsphilosophie, 2. Auflage

Anrechenbar im Kernbereich des WFK "Rechtsphilosophie und Rechtsethik" und als "vertiefende historische Kompetenz"
