regular online quizzes (10%) MC and open questions (moodle)The use of dictionaries and any other referencing material is not permitted during the exam.In order to pass the course, participants must reach an overall percentage score (PS) of more than 60% and meet the attendance/participation requirements.
The students will be awarded a grade on the basis of their overall percentage score (PS) as follows:PS 60.5-70; Grade 4
PS 70.5-80; Grade 3
PS 80.5-90; Grade 2
PS 90.5-100; Grade 1According to university regulation, this course is "prüfungsimmanent", which means that in principle students must attend every class. Exceptionally, they may miss a maximum of two sessions (2 times unexcused absence is permitted).
Failure to attend the first session without prior notification will result in losing the place in the course - this means that if you do not submit the assignment for the first lesson by the deadline, you will be deregistered from the course.This course will be taught in a digital format through Moodle. This means your physical presence is not required (except for the final exam), but you are expected to actively participate online by completing weekly sessions through Moodle. Sessions will be made available weekly and (with the exception of exams) you can complete them at any time you wish within a limited time period per session (usually one week). Please note that quizzes will only be available on Mondays between 08:00 – 13:00 (they will take approximately 10 minutes to complete per quiz).Completing these weekly sessions (e.g. posting to forums, submitting assignments) is mandatory and if you fail to actively participate for more than two sessions, this will result in a fail.All communication will be done through Moodle, so it is your responsibility to check your messages regularly.
