Information

Aims, contents and method of the course

In this exercise class we will practice, repeat and improve understanding of the contents of the corresponding lecture VO Linear Algebra (lecture only available in winter terms!).

The students will present examples on the black board. Examples have to be prepared before each exercise class and crossed on Moodle.

Exercise sheets will be made available on Moodle.

Assessment and permitted materials

The final grade is determined by the sum of points reached in the 2 tests (each test has a maximum of 25 points) and the homework examples (maximum of 10 points). For each assignment students will have a list of exercises to prepare. The solved exercises must be marked in Moodle. Exercises are counted towards the homework points, only if the student is present and if requested by the tutor, he/she is able to present the exercises.

Most of the time students will be allowed to volunteer for presentations of exercises. If necessary, students will be called to the blackboard by the tutor.

For a successful presentations on the blackboard, the questions in the exercise need to be well understood, the solutions need to be written on the black board and presented to the other students in a clear manner. The presenting student has to be prepared for questions on the definitions and theorems involved in the exercise.
Notes are allowed for the presentation.

No notes, books, calculators, etc. are allowed for the tests.
