Information

Aims, contents and method of the course

This course will focus on the everyday use of Chinese in 1b level, especially for students with economic background. You will learn the basic expressions when you are at restaurants, airport, train station, bank, hotel, post office and hospital.
In compare with last semester, except the new phrases, words and characters, you should understand the basic sentence structure of Chinese, be able to create new sentences with the structures you have learned and know how to enlarge your wordbase.
Besides, you will find out the words we once learned in the previous semester, also has a new meaning or play a new role in a structure.This is also the keypoint of this semester, namely to be able to use the old words in a new structure and express yourself.
On Moodle-Platform you will find the learning material one week before the course starts.
The course will be held on-site.

Assessment and permitted materials

There will be no mid-term exam. Instead, you will recieve an open-book exam. Your attendance in class, dictations, your active in-class exercise and the final test will be evaluated and be your final score.

Attendance rate+homework : 10% of your final score.
Dictations: 20% of your final score.
In-class activity: 20% of your final score.
Final test: 50% of your final score.
