Information

Aims, contents and method of the course

The essential elements of linear algebra will be treated:
vectors, linear maps, matrices, solving linear equations, determinants, inner product, Euclidean norm, orthogonality, eigenvalues, eigenvectors, quadratic forms

Assessment and permitted materials

The exam (first possibility on December 19th 2025) lasts 45 minutes from 11:30 - 12:15.

It is a multiple choice test with individual questions. The script may be used. At the end of the exam the computed exercises must be submitted additionally.

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

The results of the multiple choice test are compared with the written documents. In case of inconsistencies, points are deducted, otherwise 2 points per correctly solved example (maximum 10).

Grades:

0 to 5: Nicht Genügend (5)
over 5 to 6.25: Genügend (4)
from 6.25 to 7.5: Befriedigend (3)
over 7.5 to 8.75: Gut (2)
over 8.75: Sehr gut (1)
