Information

Aims, contents and method of the course

The course Business Intelligence II focuses on the following methods
* cross-sectional data analysis
* process mining
* temporal data mining
* social network mining

In addition, the combined application of analysis methods will be discussed based on the following techniques:
* decision mining
* text mining

All analysis methods of Business Intelligence I and II will be applied within a bigger BI project based on real-world data (e.g., from the manufacturing domain). The focus is on finding relevant analysis question, providing an adequate data basis, conducting analysis and interpreting the results, as well as employing open source analysis tools.
