Information

Aims, contents and method of the course

This VU aims at presenting several interoperability concepts:
‣ XML and databases
‣ information integration
‣ web services and applicac
‣ service orchestrations
‣ service choreographies
‣ ontologies

Learning goals:
‣ understanding the basic challenges of interoperability
‣ understanding basic concepts
‣ getting hands-on practice by implementation and by application of selected systems

Assessment and permitted materials

‣ literature study and theoretical exercises
‣ practical exercises (implementation, application of tools)
‣ written exam
‣ active participation in discussions

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

‣ Part A: 55% exercises (theoretical and practical)
‣ Part B: 35% written exam
‣ Part C: 10% discussion

In both, Part A and Part B, 50% of the points have to be achieved. Overall more than 50% need to be achieved.
