Information

Aims, contents and method of the course

Selected topic in High Performance Computing with a focus on programming languages, implementation of applications, performance analysis and scalability.

Students acquire theoretical and practical knowledge in High Performance Computing.

Lectures by instructors (mandatory attendance!);
presentation of selected topics by students and realization of HPC projects.

Assessment and permitted materials

Successful implementation and evaluation of HPC projects; final written exam; mandatory attendance

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

Requirements for a positive grade:
On time submission and positive assessment of at least 3 of the 4 projects (15 points each)
AND
positive assessment of the final test (more than 20 points of 40 points total)
AND
more than 50 points overall (projects + test)

Grading scheme:
>= 88% Sehr Gut (1)
>= 75% Gut (2)
>= 62% Befriedigend (3)
>= 50% Genügend (4)
< 50% Nicht Genügend (5)
