Information
Aims, contents and method of the course
After an introduction into the origin, structure, purpose and importance of the the Guide of the Perplexed for the history of Jewish thought and life, the seminar concentrates on reading and discussing of central contents of the book together. The exact topics and the timetable will be found on Moodle. The Hebrew text of the Moreh Nevuchim with English translation is available at sefaria org.. Knowledge of Hebrew is required.
Assessment and permitted materials
1. Anwesenheit: Um eine positive Note zu erlangen, darf nicht öfter als 2 Mal gefehlt werden. Die Anwesenheit wird jedesmal am Anfang der Stunde festgestelllt. Zuspätkommen wird als fehlende Anwesenheit verbucht.
2. Aktive Mitarbeit: Regelmäßige sprachliche und inhaltliche Vorbereitung sind Voraussetzung für einen positven Abchluss der Lehrveranstaltung.
3. Hausübungen: Aus der Bearbeitung der Themen während der Stunde, werden Fragen resultieren, auf die jede/r TeilnehmerIn bis zur nächsten Stunde kurz schriftlich zu antworten hat (HÜ). Die Antworten werden jeweils am Tag vor dem nächsten Seminar ab 9.00h auf Moodle zur Verfügung stehen. Diese HÜen werden im folgenden SE gemeinsam besprochen. Es sind mindestens vier HÜs abzugeben. Jede nicht erbrachte oder nicht zeitgerecht abgelieferte HÜ wirkt sich auf die Gesamtnote aus.
4. Präsentation: Zu einem bestimmten Thema aus dem Moreh ist ein Referat zu halten, und dasselbe ist schriftlich auszuarbeiten.
