Information

Aims, contents and method of the course

The course aims at a comparison between the historiographies of medieval Japan and medieval Western and Central Europe. Each student will specialize in a sub-field of his or her choice. And each will indentify key positions in the relevant historiography.
The term paper and all written assignments can be in French, English, or German.

Assessment and permitted materials

Four short papers, 2 presentations (short), one first version of the seminar paper, one final version.

You must provide with the seminar paper´s final version a separate sheet indicating revisions (otherwise you cannot get a 1)
