Information

Aims, contents and method of the course

The aim of the course is the presentation and discussion of ongoing master's theses, diploma theses and dissertations (you need a confirmation from a supervisor of your thesis to register!) After the presentation of the participants, the respective contributions will be discussed intensively. For colleagues who are not supervised by us: please inform your supervisors about your presentation date. It would be desirable for your supervisor to be present at the presentation.

As part of the course, a two-day excursion to Graz is planned for 24/25 October. Please keep this date free!

Assessment and permitted materials

Presentation of the Master's thesis and intensive participation in the discussion of the colleagues' presentations, participation in the excursions.

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

As part of the course, you must present your topic in an elaborated form according to your current state of work. Central aspects are the problem and objective of the work, the conceptual categorisation of the topic, the methodology as well as the selection and evaluation of the sources lege artis. The presentation should take about 25 minutes and afterwards we will discuss for about 20 minutes. It is essential that you also take part in the discussion of the other presentations.
