Information
Aims, contents and method of the course
Die Lehrveranstaltung setzt sich mit den Wechselwirkungen zwischen Individuum und Herrschaft in Osteuropa von der Oktoberrevolution bis zum Fall des Kommunismus auseinander. Nach einer Einführung in theoretisch-methodologische Probleme der Erforschung subjektiver Erfahrungen werden zentrale Werke gelesen und diskutiert. Diese sind so ausgewählt, dass ein breites Spektrum an nationalen Kontexten, Kategorien und Gruppen (z.B. Frauen, ländliche Bevölkerung, DissidentInnen, begeisterte Regimeanhänger etc.) sowie Einstellungen und Interaktionsformen (von Ablehnung und Widerstand bis hin zu Selbst-Identifikation und Kollaboration) Berücksichtigung findet.
Assessment and permitted materials
aktive Beteiligung an den Diskussionen: mündliche Mitarbeit in jeder Sitzung; Kurzpräsentationen von Texten; Erledigung kleinerer Hausarbeiten.
