Definition and theories of Early Modern Times, epoch, methods of periodic
Key terms, definitions and main questions of Modern times
Main problems of political, economic, social, religious, cultural, constitutional development during the period, discussion of links and interaction between these fields
Discussion of case studies which are aimed to highlight general and national developments

Assessment and permitted materials

Written exams at the end of the lecture
Submitting of small exercises

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

Work out and discussion on the central issues, topics and terms of Early Modern Times
Work out of main theories, methods and sources of Early Modern Times
Focussing on the basic knowledge and main problems of elaboration /narratives
Discussion of central terms and definitions relevant for the topic
Exercises in scientific working e.g. abstracts

Examination topics

Discussing of framework, structure and events , focussing on relevant case studies
Exercising for further developing crucial abilities of historical research (how to work with abstracts and summaries, bibliographies and relevant websites, how to draft short review articles, how to work out a short scientific paper)
