Information

Aims, contents and method of the course

The participants of the field trip will get to know the principal works of medieval art between the Danube and Carpathian mining towns personally and in the light of the current research literature. They will also have an opportunity to practice presenting a selected example, its contexts, and meanings to the other participants.

Assessment and permitted materials

- active participation in the preparations and the field trip;
- Preparation of a paper and its presentation on site.

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

- Compulsory attendance. In case of absence due to illness or an exceptional family situation, the participant must submit written proof.
- For a positive completion of the course, the participant must complete all partial performances.
- active participation in discussions: 15%
- the quality of the paper: 55%.
- oral presentation on-site: 30%

the in-depth knowledge of the selected example and general orientation in medieval art of the region
