Information

Aims, contents and method of the course

In this course, we examine different understandings of critique: Who designates what, how, and why as critique? What does the articulation of critique mean for the actors themselves, and what social constellations are created as a result?

To pursue these questions, selected conceptual positions will be presented and empirical examples discussed. Based on readings of conceptual literature, we will analyze together positions that understand themselves as critical together.

Learning objectives:
Gain insights into various concepts of critique and analyze critique as a cultural form, as well as its social effects.
