Aims, contents and method of the course

Diese Vorlesung bietet im Rahmen der STEOP eine kompakte und systematische Einführung in das Feld der Neogräzistik. Die bedeutendsten historisch-politischen Ereignisse sowie Kontinuitäten und Brüche in den Bereichen Sprache, Literatur und Kunst des modernen Griechentums werden erkundet. Ferner wird auf die Problematik der neugriechischen Identität eingegangen (z. B. auf das Verhältnis zur Antike oder die geostrategische und kulturelle Rolle Griechenlands zwischen Ost und West). Die Vorlesung gliedert sich in drei Bereiche, die folgende Schwerpunkte bilden:

Schwerpunkt I: (Politische) Geschichte
Schwerpunkt II: Sprache und Literatur
Schwerpunkt III: Aspekte neugriechischer Kunst und Kultur

Die Vorlesung soll die Studierenden dazu befähigen, zeitgenössische Diskurse in und über Griechenland besser zu verstehen, einzuordnen und kritisch zu reflektieren.

Assessment and permitted materials

Am Ende des Semesters findet eine schriftliche Online-Prüfung im Open-Book-Format statt.
