Aims, contents and method of the course

Welcome to the orientation event (OV)!

We welcome you to the Institute for Byzantine and Modern Greek Studies in the beautiful city centre and look forward to getting to know you as new students in our department and familiarising you with the most important information about your studies - while also giving you the opportunity to get to know each other.

The following topics will be covered in the OV:

- General information about the structure and organisation of your studies
- Information about planned courses, especially STEOP
- Useful information about your studies, including exams, dealing with learning disabilities, etc.
- Information about course and exam formats
- Introduction to central information services such as u:find, u:space, Moodle, etc.
- Introduction to the most important contact persons at the institute and faculty
- Getting to know colleagues, tutors and fellow students from the student council (StV Byzantine Studies and Modern Greek Studies)

Afterwards, there will be an opportunity for informal exchange with colleagues and institute members over refreshments.

We look forward to seeing you!
