Aims, contents and method of the course
Assessment and permitted materials
- Written examinations during the semester: mid-term examination (80 points), final examination (80 points) (reading or writing comprehension, grammar and vocabulary) and oral interview (40 points)
A total of 120 points out of 200 is required to pass the course. (first exam (80 p.) + second exam (80 p.), oral interview = 40 points).
No support/reference materials are allowed during the exams or oral interview.

In order to achieve the learning objectives of the course, active participation by students is required: individual contributions and group work during the unit. For this reason, attendance at the course is compulsory. No more than two unexcused absences are permitted.

Use of different types of texts related to Hispanic culture as a basis for practising oral and written expression. Reading of two books. Listening and audiovisual material (short films), debates, etc.
Cooperative work will be encouraged; to this end, working in pairs, groups and open classes will be essential. Students are also expected to work on certain grammatical/lexical aspects independently.
