Information

Aims, contents and method of the course

The use of English as a medium of instruction in various school subjects (CLIL) is receiving considerable attention in Europe and elsewhere. In this seminar we will consider the rationales and theoretical precepts of this form of instruction as well as study various aspects of how English is used in CLIL classrooms. This will be done by analysing an existing collection of English-medium lessons recorded at Austrian secondary schools.
Assessment is based on: seminar paper, oral presentation, class participation
