Information

Aims, contents and method of the course

This lecture course is students' starting point in literary and cultural studies and introduces them to a selection of basic concepts and methods of literary and cultural analysis. It will provide a selection of literary texts and cultural materials as examples. It acquaints students with relevant terminology and its practical application and provides a survey of the major theoretical approaches. The relevance of the various issues for the English language classroom will be highlighted.
