The History of Poetry: a Close Reading of Canonical Texts

11.00 ECTS (2.00 SWS), SPL 12 - Anglistik
Continuous assessment of course work

PLEASE NOTE: This course is for avid poetry readers who have a grounding in narratology and are not averse to conducting a thorough formal analysis of lyric texts.

If you are interested in an ‘early topic’ for either of my two seminars (“Kaleidoscopic Narratives: Multiperspectivity in the Novel” & “The History of Poetry: a Close Reading of Canonical Texts”), please contact me directly (eva.zettelmann@univie.ac.at). Please note that these will be topics of a general, theoretical nature. Topics will be handed out on a ‘first come, first served’-basis.
