How to use class readers, song lyrics, TV shows, graphic novels, movies, plays, poems, etc. in the classroom? I'll tell you how. It will be fun. Learning aims that can be met with literature will be discussed and a broad variety of hands-on methods will be suggested and tried out.

Information
Aims, contents and method of the course
This class aims at providing both a theoretical basis for the teaching of literature in the EFL classroom and practical examples. The primary aim is to enable students to devise lesson plans and teaching activities which help improve their future learners' skills and capture their interest.
Assessment and permitted materials
Assessment will be based on a course portfolio and participation in class.
Minimum requirements and assessment criteria
Regular attendance, portfolio activities assessment based on whether activities and arguments are pedagogically convincing and how ideas from the course are implemented in actual tasks; participation in class
